All mothers have different feelings after the birth of their baby, but most women indicate that they feel a mixture of fatigue, happiness and relief.
It is normal to want to discuss the birth in detail and learn more about the parts you didn’t understand or don’t remember, or how long it all took.
You may have missed a meal (or more) and could be very hungry.
It is likely that you have some questions to ask your doctor or midwife about your delivery, remember this is normal and they are happy to answer all your questions. It is important to remember that no question is too small or “silly”, so ask without fear.
You might also be starting to have some questions about looking after yourself and your baby, from pain management to breastfeeding, ensure you ask the midwife or doctor for any assistance you need.
